League Park was home to the National League Cleveland Spiders from 1891 to 1899, the American League Cleveland Indians from 1910 to 1946, and the Negro American League Cleveland Buckeyes from 1943 to 1948. The Indians also played Sunday and holiday games at Cleveland Municipal Stadium from 1942 to 1946. The Indians abandoned League Park in 1947 and played all of their home games at "The Mistake By The Lake."
